Thank you for responding to the need to reach boys and girls with the Gospel and to make the name of Jesus Christ known to the world’s most unreached!

Reaching children is a mighty task — one that requires a great many hands ready to serve! Some CEF roles may that be filled by willing volunteers are:

  • Good News Club® teachers or helpers
  • 5-Day Club® host/hostess
  • Christian Youth in Action® Summer Missionaries, Missionary Assistants, or Summer Interns
  • Camp Good News® (South) counsellors, kitchen help, or other volunteers
  • CEF Party Club hosts or helpers.

Churches can get involved too!

Child Evangelism Fellowship, Inc. seeks to uphold the highest moral and ethical standard possible in reaching children with the gospel. This standard applies personally to all believers as we live, work, and serve before others and, most importantly, before God. Because of the world in which we live and seek to serve, it is imperative to take all steps possible to protect both the children to whom we minister and ourselves from false accusations. In accordance with the CEF Child Protection Policy, all staff and volunteers are required to undergo a series of initial and periodically renewed screenings including a national criminal background check. For interpersonal, team, and program coherence as well as further safety and general unity, certain trainings (online or in person) may also be required to begin your volunteer role(s).

Please see the instructions below to find the appropriate category for you. If you have any issues completing or submitting any of the forms, etc., please contact our local office for assistance. Thank you for your willingness to serve!

Note: Because the safety of children and children’s ministry workers is of such importance, CEF of Evansville offers Background Check Screenings at no cost to volunteers to help ensure all ministry participants are always adequately protected. While we are happy to provide this service, there is a cost incurred by the local chapter to do so (around $5 per person). If you would like to help cover this cost for your background check, and/or perhaps be a blessing toward that cost for another volunteer, visit the “Give” page HERE to donate now.

New Volunteers

New volunteers are those seeking to start serving for the very first time in the next calendar year. Adult (18+) volunteers may complete the full form while minor volunteers (12-17) will need a signature from a parent or guardian to finish the form(s).

Annual Returning Volunteer Forms

Are you a current volunteer (such as a Good News Club® teacher or helper, local committee member, etc.) who has served in the last calendar year? Click below to complete your renewal documentation for this year.

NOTE: IF you have not volunteered within the last 12 months or your last background check was 5 years ago or more (COVID notwithstanding), you will need to complete the 5-year Rescreening Volunteer form or the New Volunteers form.

5-Year Rescreening Volunteers

If you are a current screened and approved volunteer who has remained active in CEF ministry over the last 5 consecutive years, you will need to complete a rescreening form every fifth year to renew your background check and maintain your eligibility to serve per the CEF Child Protection Policy.

The CEF local office will reach out to you when your 5-year rescreening is due. If you have any questions on your rescreening, etc. please contact the local office.
